Spirit Horses and the Spencerville Stray Cats Project

"Spirit Horses"
22" x 23"

This piece of art was donated to the Spencerville and Area Stray Cats Project, to help them raise operating funds.

The volunteers associated with the project trap, neuter and find homes for stray cats in the Spencerville and surrounding area.

Watch for an upcoming "Art and Jewellery" auction at the end of September 2019.  There will be several works of original art in the auction and some wonderful pieces of jewellery both new and antique.

Follow my blog and the Spencerville TNR on Facebook for more information.

Tiger, Tiger
I got this idea from surfing the web a couple of years ago.  Gradually over the years I collected the fabric to create this gorgeous boy.
He is not very large, about 12" x 16", but I love to look at him.

Soaring

I've managed to remember how to change both the header on the blog and Facebook.  Its been too long since I've paid attention to the blog, so I'm on the road to fixing that.

The new header is one of my recent landscapes "Soaring" a sofa piece 18"x30".  The evening silhouette is an eagle soaring across a dusk skyline in a light snowfall. You can see it under Landscapes and Abstracts.

For The Newest Angel In My Life

Fashion Design in Miniature

For those of you who have been wondering what I've been doing these last couple of months......

Our youngest granddaughter was christened on Sunday, and here is the dress I made for her, almost completely by hand, as she is so dainty.

The lace is a  heavy french silk lace, and all of the applique was individually cut out and sewn on by hand.  There are over 400 pearls and crystals on the dress, and you can see the silk headband hanging on the hanger.

She was a perfect jewel throughout the entire process, and looked like the little princess she is.  I don't expect that this will last however, but one can always hope.  The dress took me about two months to make, while living my life, and it is now time to start more fabric art.

Look forward to some new wolves, and landscape pieces, and perhaps some new Asian pieces as well.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Its been a very long time since I've posted to my blog.

We've been doing lots of traveling this year, and spending time with family.

We were in Hawaii in April/May 2015, and I have several new pieces created from the fabric I bought and based on the pictures we took in Hawaii.

I still have to create my 2015 Art Gallery, but that will come early in the new year.

In October and November we were in Collingwood Ontario and Stowe Vermont, where I found some wonderful fabric.

I have several new ideas for work in 2016, so now I just have to find the time as John and I will be very busy over the next 12 months.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and a very safe and happy holiday season.
